Six People Injured in Siskiyou County Car Accident

A 1997 Honda Accord with six people in it crashed on State Route 96 near Happy Camp on Sunday, February 8, 2015, the Siskiyou Daily news reported. According to a news report, the vehicle was traveling westbound near the China Point River when the 19-year-old driver, a Happy Camp resident, allowed the vehicle to drift onto the right shoulder. He then swerved to the left and lost control of the vehicle. It veered across both lanes and overturned several times down the hillside and struck several trees. Alochol was determined to be a factor in the incident, and the driver was arrested. Those involved in the crash were Raymond Marquezgriffon, 19, of Happy Camp; Briana Eaton, 15, of Fort Jones; Clyde Wilhelm, 20, of Montague; Cody Potter, 23, of Yreka; Jeffrey Duff, 23, of Yreka; and Justin Maughs, 19, of Yreka.
