Marlene grew up in Monterey County, where her interest in the justice system first started to take shape. She later attended Fresno State University and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology, which helped strengthen her passion for criminal law and supporting people through challenging situations.
In 2024, Marlene moved to San Diego to open more career opportunities and get experience in a larger legal community. She previously worked in multiple correctional facilities, gaining firsthand insight into the criminal justice system and the individuals affected by it. Wanting to broaden her experience, she transitioned into a law firm setting to see the legal field from a different angle.
Marlene will soon begin to work toward her long-term goal of earning a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology, blending her interests in law and human behavior. At Estey & Bomberger, she aims to be a dependable and supportive resource for all clients, making sure they feel heard, informed, and guided throughout their legal journey.
